My boyfriend booked a solo vacation with his friends after saying he was too broke to travel with me

I’ve been dating Mark for two years. For the last six months, I’ve been trying to plan a small weekend anniversary trip for us to a nearby beach town. Every time I brought it up, Mark would sigh and say his finances were too tight, his car insurance went up, and he couldn't justify spending money on a hotel right now. I understood and dropped it, suggesting cheap date nights at home instead.

This morning, I saw a group chat notification on his iPad while he was in the shower. His college friends were finalizing a flight and villa booking for a week-end trip to Las Vegas.

Mark had already paid his $800 share for the premium suite, and he was actively texting them about which clubs they should visit. When I confronted him, he got angry and said it was a "mandatory guys' trip" that had been planned for a long time, and that spending money on his friends is an investment in his social life, whereas a trip with me can happen anytime.

I just sat there realizing that he isn’t broke at all; he just doesn't value making memories with me enough to spend money on us. I packed a small bag and went to my sister's house. He keeps texting me saying I'm making a huge deal out of a simple weekend getaway. Am I wrong for wanting to break up over this?
