My husband invited his family to stay at our house without asking me first

I work a very high-stress corporate job and look forward to long holiday weekends as my only time to completely disconnect and rest. My husband knows this. Last night, I came home exhausted after a 12-hour shift, looking forward to a quiet weekend of reading and cooking together.
When I walked through the front door, I found his brother, his wife, and their two toddlers sitting in our living room with multiple large suitcases blocking the hallway.
My husband smiled nervously and said, "Surprise\! They were planning a road trip and I told them they could save money by staying in our guest room for the next five days."
He didn't send a single text or call me to ask if I was okay with this. When I pulled him into the kitchen and told him this was a massive violation of our communication, he accused me of being unsocial and hating his family. He said it's "his house too" and he shouldn't have to get written permission to host his own relatives. Now I’m stuck cooking and cleaning for six people during my only week of rest, and the tension in the house is unbearable.
